Snovitra is an oral prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It helps men to achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity when physical or psychological factors interfere with natural blood flow.

HOW IT WORKS

Snovitra active ingredient is Vardenafil (a PDE5 inhibitor).

During a sexual stimulation, the body releases nitric oxide, which triggers the production of cGMP. This chemical relaxes the smooth muscles in the penis to allow blood flow.

Snovitra prevents an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) from breaking down cGMP. By protecting cGMP, the medication ensures that blood vessels stay dilated longer, maintaining the erection.

HOW TO TAKE

Take one tablet roughly 30 to 60 minutes before your planned sexual activity. The effects typically last between 4 to 5 hours. It can be taken with or without food. However, a high-fat meal may delay how quickly the medication starts working. Do not take more than one dose in a 24-hour period.

SIDE EFFECTS

Most side effects are mild and temporary. They may include headache, dizziness, flushing (warmth or redness in the face/neck), stuffy or runny nose, indigestion or upset stomach, changes in vision (blue tint) or sudden hearing loss.

If you experience an erection lasting longer than 4 hours (priapism), seek emergency medical care immediately to prevent permanent tissue damage.

Never take Snovitra if you use nitrate medications (like nitroglycerin for chest pain), as this can cause a life-threatening drop in blood pressure.

If you take medications for prostate issues or high blood pressure, discuss them with your doctor, as combining them with Vardenafil can cause low blood pressure.

Limit alcohol consumption, as it can increase the risk of side effects like dizziness and may make it harder to get an erection.
